The building owner received an initial claim summary from the Insurance company in the amount of 60,900.  John Eral guided a team of HVAC and building damage experts and after appraisal was demanded, the outcome was an appraisal award in a final amount of $244,117.

Onalaska, WI – Strip Center/Restaurant – From 3k to162k Final Claim Award

A hailstorm significantly damaged this building’s HVAC, Ventilation and Exhaust Equipment along with other building metals. The original Insurance estimate occurred unannounced without building owner representation present. Almost the entire mechanical installation was overlooked and an initial claim summary in the amount of $2706.00 was provided to the insured. After John Eral made the adjuster aware of the failure in the first inspection by a third-party vendor, a subsequent inspection with the Insurance adjuster, a different third party inspector and John Eral present, a revised claim summary was issued in the amount of $164,718.76.

Shakopee, MN – Restaurant – 229% Increase Final Claim Award 86k

A hailstorm significantly damaged this Restaurant HVAC and Ventilation Equipment along with other building exhaust metals. After the insurance company finally dropped the approach of blaming the damage on a previous storm, they issued an estimate in an initial claim summary in the amount of $78,249.53. The insurance company attempted to again deny the date of loss, so an appraisal was demanded. The appraisal award was issued after confirming to the appraisal panel a storm date that impacted a lot of the surrounding area in the amount of $164,718.76.

Hastings, MN – Restaurant – 63k Initial to Final 165k – 153% Increase

A wind and hailstorm significantly damaged this Restaurant Building Metals HVAC and Ventilation Equipment along with other building exhaust metals. Initial adjuster minimized damages and issued a claim summary for a total of 65890.00. John Eral contacted Ins Co and was connected to a desk adjuster with more authority and requested a reinspection. After the second site visit and review of detailed estimates provided by the General Contractor the claim amount was expanded in its’ scope and the new claim damage amount was finalized at $128,917.28
