The roof was initially denied but John Eral was able to have Expert roofing contractor complete core sample which confirmed structural damage requiring the entire roof to be replaced along with repairs of damages of HVAC rooftop equipment. Initial Insurance estimate was $56,445.00 and a final approved claim summary including roof replacement was $199,516.97 a 255% increase.
Plymouth, MN – Manufacturing Facility – 129k Final Claim Value Increase
A summer hailstorm significantly damaged a large manufacturing facilities building HVAC and Ventilation Equipment. A third party “expert” was hired by the Insurance company to evaluate the loss. Information and pictures were then sent to their outstate headquarters for review. The initial damage summary was provided to Insured in the amount of $119,443.26. A license expert local HVAC contractor worked with John Eral on supplying documentation of the value of the loss and after much deliberation the Insurance company agreed to the HVAC contractor estimate provided and approved a final settlement for $248,537.77 – a 110% increase.
Des Moines, IA – Commercial Office Props – 1.8MM - 641% Increase
A hailstorm significantly damaged this Commercial Property Owners 5 locations in Des Moines IA. John Eral became involved after the building’s flat roofs had already been adjusted and the work completed. The initial adjuster missed significant HVAC, gas piping, and other mechanical components in the first adjustment. The claim was reopened, and a new HVAC estimate was provided. The insurance company did not accept the new estimate requiring appraisal to be demanded. The original HVAC insurance estimate for the 5 buildings was 293,991.56. The final appraisal award on those 5 buildings was $2,178,385.34 – a 641% increase in the damage award.
